What is Disability Is Awesome University?
A planned subscription learning catalog — strengths first, hard parts honest — for parents and self-advocates (later educators). “University” means tracks + ongoing enrollment, not accreditation, degrees, or CE credits unless those become true later.
Who are the classes for?
ADHD parent nights, autism parent nights (kitchen words: stuck, switch load, sensory), dual ADHD+autism nights, and a self-advocate track for teens and adults. Audience is tagged on each class.
How do classes work?
Short weeks. One skill. Short video or read, a kitchen-table script, one tiny practice + checkpoint. Manager spine: Start / Stay / Switch / Check. Child or learner is the manager.
Is this medicine advice?
No. No medicine, prescriptions, or clinical advice. This is practice and coaching language for home and life — not a clinic.
How is this different from Train the Manager?
Train the Manager is the one-time ADHD-parent EF syllabus (~8 modules). University may reference manager language but must not drip that paid syllabus as cheap membership filler. Soft cross-links only.
How is this different from Kitchen Table Club?
Kitchen Table Club is calm monthly practice (~$29/mo list, ~1 live hr/mo). University is broader multi-track catalog — different job, own price. Not “Club renamed.”
What does membership cost?
Illustrative research band ~$39–$79/mo if the catalog is truly deeper than Club, or a fair annual (~10–20% off). Exact dollars TBD. Free guide stays free. No live checkout on these concept pages.
How does enrollment work?
Not live yet. Soft validation (guide + drip + light practice) comes before any University checkout. When ready: account → membership entitlement → open catalog. Cancel without dark patterns.
Is there a community?
Optional later — moderated, low-demand, camera optional. v1 can be catalog + optional monthly live. Unmoderated mega-groups are not the product core.
Is faith required?
No. Faith may be offered the same way it is on AJF. It is never required to use the method.
Do you do IEP legal advocacy?
No. Soft adjacent awareness only. University is not Wrightslaw and not an IEP law school.
What does “awesome” mean here?
Dignity + usable tools. Strengths as common patterns, not universal superpowers. Hard parts named. Not cure marketing.
